Tetracycline Hydrochloride
Molecular biology grade Tetracycline Hydrochloride by Canvax, a widely used antibiotic for plasmid selection.
Tetracycline Hydrochloride is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding the bacterial ribosome and blocking aminoacyl-tRNA binding at the A-site, which halts translation. Owing to its reliability and consistent performance, it is widely used for bacterial selection (Tetᴿ) and as a ligand in tetracycline-controlled gene expression systems (Tet-On/Tet-Off) in eukaryotic cells.
Canvax supplies Molecular Biology Grade Tetracycline Hydrochloride manufactured under stringent QC to ensure lot-to-lot consistency, high potency and excellent solubility profiles—ideal for cloning workflows, contamination control in cell culture, and inducible expression experiments.
