BL21(DE3) Competent Cells are E. coli cells optimized for high-level expression of recombinant proteins. They contain the T7 RNA polymerase gene, allowing expression of genes under T7 promoters.

These chemically competent cells offer high transformation efficiency and reliable performance for protein expression and cloning experiments.

Advice
  • Store at –80 ºC upon receipt.

  • Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Storage: Upon receipt of the kit, immediately store the components at -80 °C. Storage at -20 °C will result in a significant decrease in transformation efficiency. Please note that Competent Cells are very sensitive to cycles of freezing and thawing and should not be exposed to temperature variations.
