Purified DNA suitable for all common Molecular Biology applications, such as:

• Genomic DNA isolation from whole blood
• PCR and qPCR
• Cloning.
• DNA sequencing.
• Southern blot analysis.

– Tested on a lot-to-lot basis by isolating total DNA from 5 mL of whole Human Blood.
– DNA purified is analysed by:

• Spectrophotometer: Ratio 260/ 280 (1.6-1.8).
• Agarose gel Electrophoresis.

• Mix blood samples thoroughly before lysis to ensure complete cell disruption.
• Avoid hemolyzed or clotted samples for best results
• For long-term storage of DNA, elute with TE buffer instead of water

• Shipped in: Ambient Temperature.
• Storage: All components can be stored at Room Temperature, except Proteinase (4 ºC). Proteinase K should be stored at -20 ºC for longer-term storage. If any kit reagent forms a precipitate, warm at 55–65 °C until the precipitate dissolves, and allow to cool to room temperature before use.

Q: Can a thermal block be used instead of a water bath?
A: Yes, a thermal block at 55 °C can be used if temperature is stable and tube contact is adequate.

Q: How long should the lysis step be for 200 µL of blood?
A: Start with 30 minutes and extend up to 60 minutes if needed to ensure complete lysis.
