T4 DNA Ligase

Highly efficient enzyme for ligation of cohesive and blunt DNA ends.

T4 DNA Ligase from Canvax™ is a high-efficiency enzyme that catalyzes the formation of phosphodiester bonds between adjacent 5′-phosphate and 3′-hydroxyl termini in double-stranded DNA or RNA. It is ideal for molecular cloning, linker ligation, and nick repair during DNA replication or repair processes. The enzyme works efficiently with both sticky and blunt-ended DNA fragments, delivering high ligation yields and reproducible results.

Produced under ISO-certified quality standards, Canvax™ T4 DNA Ligase ensures purity, stability, and consistent performance across different cloning applications. It provides reliable results even with low DNA concentrations and is compatible with most restriction enzyme buffers. Each batch undergoes extensive quality control to guarantee activity and integrity, making it an essential tool for routine and advanced molecular biology workflows.

Tables & Figures

Quality Control
  • Each lot is tested for activity with both sticky and blunt-end ligation, ensuring reproducibility and absence of contaminating nucleases.
Advice
  • For blunt-end ligations, use higher enzyme concentrations or longer incubation times.

  • Store enzyme in small aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Ensure DNA fragments have 5′ phosphate groups for ligation efficiency.
