Puromycin Dihydrochloride
≥98% purity aminonucleoside antibiotic, widely used in mammalian cell selection and CRISPR applications.
Puromycin Dihydrochloride is a molecular biology grade aminonucleoside antibiotic derived from Streptomyces alboniger. Acting as an analog of aminoacyl-tRNA, it incorporates into polypeptide chains and causes premature termination of protein synthesis.
With purity ≥98% (HPLC), it is toxic to both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, inhibiting growth of bacteria, protozoa, algae, and mammalian cells. It is widely applied in mammalian cell selection, CRISPR/Cas9 workflows, and molecular biology research.
