AMV Reverse Transcriptase
High-quality AMV Reverse Transcriptase for cDNA synthesis and RNA analysis.
AMV Reverse Transcriptase is an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase derived from Avian Myeloblastosis Virus and produced in E. coli. It synthesizes the first-strand cDNA from RNA templates and also acts on DNA or RNA:DNA hybrids.
The enzyme combines multiple activities: RNA- and DNA-directed DNA polymerase, RNase H, DNA-RNA unwinding, and Mn²⁺-dependent endonuclease. With high purity (>90%), free of RNase and DNase, it ensures reproducible results in reverse transcription, cDNA synthesis, and RNA sequencing workflows.
