0.5M EDTA (pH 8.0)

High-quality 0.5 M EDTA Buffer, pH 8.0, available as a ready-to-use sterile solution or as a precisely pre-weighed powder pouch for convenient laboratory preparation.

The Canvax™ 0.5 M EDTA Buffer, pH 8.0 is a molecular biology-grade chelating reagent available in two formats. Choose between a ready-to-use 100 mL aqueous solution and a pre-weighed powder pouch for preparing 500 mL of buffer.

EDTA binds divalent cations such as Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺. This helps inhibit metal-dependent enzymes and protects DNA and RNA from nuclease-mediated degradation. Laboratories commonly use 0.5 M EDTA Buffer, pH 8.0 to prepare TE, TAE, and TBE buffers and in nucleic acid purification, storage, and electrophoresis workflows.

The liquid format comes at its final concentration and requires no preparation. The pouch contains the precisely weighed material needed to prepare 500 mL of 0.5 M EDTA Buffer, pH 8.0, providing a convenient option for larger-volume requirements.
